When she’s not at work, you might find her thrift shopping for vintage treasures or watching a classic Alfred Hitchcock film. Her love of the 50s, 60s and 70s isn’t limited to music, however. Jessie is a big music lover, as she was raised on oldies but goodies by her dad. She has gained valuable experience outside of photography and videography, making her a well-rounded member of the team. Her favorite part of being a MadCap team member has been learning new skillsets from her colleagues. She has also worked extensively as a freelancer, creating videos for local Tacoma nonprofits. After graduating, Jessie became increasingly interested in videography and began to expand her skillset beyond still images. She worked as a staff photographer for the school newspaper, The Spectator, for two years. Jessie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and a minor in Studio Art from Seattle University. Before each project, she asks the important questions: What’s the purpose of this project? Who is the audience? Why is it important? She then handles all aspects of the storyboarding, production, and finalization of the end product, always with the objectives of our clients in mind. Jessie helps our clients advance their marketing strategies through forward-thinking photo, video, and editing services. *Photos courtesy of individual organizations. If a picture (or video) is worth a thousand words, Jessie Koon is a master storyteller.
